This prototpe website is a demonstration of a final year Multimedia Computing BSc Hons. Degree project entitled "Music Download and Purchasing over (dynamic) WWW" by Aled Morris Brown.
Project Outline:
Development of a Music Promotion, Music Purchasing, Music Download and Music Storage dynamic multi-use website system.
Project will focus on creating a music storage and download system targeted at a single Band / Group or Artist wanting to sell music online. Administration control panels to be operable by non-technical persons.
Truly client / server based as a standard Web Browser will be the only end user tool required. Use of "middleware" (e.g. ASP, PHP, etc) to allow website to control backend structured database storing all site data and control of music download access (e.g. Access DB, msSQL, MySQL). Use of non-intrusive (e.g. without a cookie) "session management" technology to track users.
All purchases made with this system are encrypted during transit and while in storage. No data is sold from this system. All purchases are currently demonstration only - however, all digital music stored in this website is Copyright 2003 of Owain Llwyd, Composer. |
